In the current market where IPS, LTPS, OLED, AMOLED and other technologies are becoming more and more common, why could the TN panel still be widely used? They don't have a good viewing angle, 65° or even lower, but they have better industrial properties, such as a wider operating temperature range and a longer supply lifecycle. Many products using IPS, LTPS, OLED panels are more in line with the application of consumer products, and most of them are not suitable for the use of industrial control products. Why are these panels not suitable for industrial and medical products? The biggest headache is that their life cycle is short, basically only one to two years, which is fatal for industrial products. Industrial control products usually require a supply cycle of 5 to 10 years, and the discontinuation of LCD panels means the interruption of the supply of products and the failure of the project. Therefore, the TN LCD panel still has a place in industrial field.

However, TN LCD panels also have a disadvantage, the grayscale inversion phenomenon is very obvious. So what is a grayscale reversal? The display screen from 0 gray scale (black) to 255 gray scale (white) should theoretically be the higher the gray scale, the brighter it is, but when the display is at a large angle, it is possible to see that the low gray scale is brighter than the high gray scale, this phenomenon is called gray scale inversion. Therefore, the viewing angle of the TN panel is often 6 o'clock or 12 o'clock, and the display angle has certain limitations.
