Sunlight Readable: 800 cd/m² Brightness Where It Matters

Ordinary 250–400 cd/m² panels wash out the moment sunlight hits the surface. The VXT121BIHA-01 is specified at 800 cd/m² typical brightness. That headroom keeps text, icons and alarm states legible under shop-floor lighting, inside a vehicle cab, or behind a kiosk window facing the sun. For projects that still need more contrast, we can add anti-reflective (AR) or anti-glare (AG) cover glass and optical bonding to cut surface reflection and push effective sunlight readability further.

True IPS Viewing Angle — No Grayscale Inversion

Because the module uses an IPS cell, its viewing direction is specified as all o'clock and the grayscale inversion item is not applicable. Operators reading the screen off-axis — standing beside a machine, leaning over a control console, or viewing from the passenger seat — see the same color and contrast as they would head-on. This is critical for HMIs that display color-coded status, medical readings, or navigation data where a misread value has real consequences.

Simple Integration: 3.3 V, LVDS and I2C

The module runs from a single 3.3 V rail, so there is no need for multiple charge-pump or bias supplies on the carrier board. Video arrives over a standard 4-pair LVDS data bus plus one differential clock pair (RIN0±, RIN1±, RIN2±, RIN3±, LVDS_CLK±) carrying 24-bit RGB data, with a nominal pixel clock around 80.9 MHz for 1280 × 800 timing. Pins 26 and 27 provide I2C SDA/SCL for backlight control and parameter setting, while the remaining pins are ground or no-connect, which keeps the mating connector and routing straightforward. If your host only outputs HDMI, MIPI DSI, RGB or USB-C, we can supply a matching converter/driver board.
