The VXT021MCSA-02 is a round TFT LCD module — the only round display in our range. Its 53.28 mm active diameter is 2.0976 inches, driven as a 480x480 array at 229 PPI. Built for smart watches: 230 µA sleep current, a 1.45 mm bezel, and 56.18 × 59.71 × 2.2 mm outline. Optics are specified with minimums, not just typicals — 530 cd/m² and 800:1 guaranteed, 600 and 1000:1 typical, with 80° viewing in all directions. Rated -20 to +70°C.

What round means for your UI

The driver still works on a 480 × 480 square pixel array; the round display area sits inside it. That has a consequence worth designing around from the first mock-up rather than discovering at the end.

Do not put content in the corners of the pixel array. A status icon, a timestamp or a battery indicator placed at the top-left of a 480 × 480 framebuffer will fall outside the round display area and simply not appear. Keep everything within the inscribed circle, and if you are porting an existing square UI, expect to re-lay it out rather than just crop it.
