4.3" 800x480 TFT LCD Module, -30 to +85°C, Anti-Glare

The useful part is not the numbers themselves but the hardware they let you remove.

• +85°C operating means a sealed enclosure in a hot climate, or a panel mounted near a heat source, may need no fan, vent or heat sink. Removing a fan removes a part that will fail in five years, along with its filter and its noise.
• -30°C operating means cold-climate and unheated-outdoor installations may need no heater. A display heater is a real cost — a part, its control loop, and power.
• -40°C storage covers transport and warehousing in cold regions without special handling. This is the only module in our 4.3-inch range rated that low.

Two honest caveats

• Response time slows at low temperature. This is normal for liquid crystal and the specification notes it. Motion and fast-updating graphics will look more smeared when cold. Static text and readings are unaffected.
• Colour shifts slightly with temperature. Usually reversible and not a defect, but if your product is colour-critical across its range, evaluate a sample at the extremes.
