23.8 Inch G+G Capacitive Touch Panel with AGC or Corning Glass - CTP-VX238B5696-GG

The CTP-VX238B5696-GG is a 23.8-inch capacitive touch panel in G+G construction, supplied as a standalone component for bonding to a display. It is offered with either AGC or Corning cover glass, and the difference is measurable — Corning withstands roughly two and a half to three times the impact energy in drop-ball testing. Transmittance is at least 85% with ≥6H surface hardness, response is ≤12 ms, and it runs from 2.8 to 3.3 V. Built for kiosks, interactive displays, POS and self-service terminals.

Product Description

23.8" G+G Capacitive Touch Panel — AGC or Corning Glass

The Victronix CTP-VX238B5696-GG is a 23.8-inch capacitive touch panel in G+G construction, supplied as a standalone component for bonding to a display rather than as a complete display module. It is offered with a choice of cover glass — AGC or Corning — and that choice is not cosmetic: in standard drop-ball testing the Corning option withstands roughly two and a half to three times the impact energy of the AGC option at the same thickness. Transmittance is at least 85% with a surface rated at 6H, response time is 12 ms or better, and the panel runs from 2.8 to 3.3 V drawing 12 to 14.5 mA. It is built for kiosks, interactive displays, POS terminals and self-service equipment, where a public-facing screen has to survive years of daily contact.

Why G+G Holds Up in Public Installations

G+G means a glass cover lens bonded to a glass touch sensor, rather than a film sensor. Three consequences matter for a panel that lives in public:

  • The surface takes abuse. Rated at 6H pencil hardness, it resists the scratches that accumulate from fingernails, rings, cleaning cloths and general contact. Film-based stacks deform under the same load and wear visibly at the busiest points.
  • It stays optically stable. Glass does not yellow under UV and does not creep at temperature. A kiosk in a sunny atrium or a terminal near a window will look the same in year five as it did in year one.
  • Calibration stays put. A rigid glass sensor holds its geometry, so touch accuracy does not drift as the panel ages or cycles through temperature.

Transmittance is at least 85%, so the panel costs you relatively little of the display's brightness — worth remembering when you size the backlight, since every point lost here has to be bought back with power and heat.
