The larger one suits equipment mounted outdoors — panel instruments, kiosks, vehicle displays — where there is mains or a large battery and the transflective panel buys legibility. This one suits something on a person, where the cell is measured in hundreds of milliamp-hours and transflective buys run time. Same technology, different reason to specify it.

If your product is worn or carried and has to work outdoors, this is the one. If it is mounted and powered, the 5-inch one is probably a better fit and we will say so.
