The VXT430BPSA-04 is a 4.3-inch high-brightness TFT LCD module built for equipment that works outdoors or in harsh industrial environments. Two ratings define it: a bright backlight driven harder than standard, and a -30 to +80°C operating range that covers sealed enclosures in summer and unheated installations in winter. The brightness has a price — the same 16-LED array lasts 20,000 hours here against 50,000 in our standard-brightness module. Supplied without touch, with 24-bit RGB888 and 16 LEDs at 24 V.

The practical value is that the rating removes hardware. A panel rated to +70°C in a sealed outdoor enclosure usually forces a decision: add a fan, add a vent, add a sunshield, or accept a shortened life. Each of those adds cost, a maintenance item, and something that fails later. A panel rated to +80°C often removes the decision entirely. At the cold end, -30°C removes the heater from equipment that ships to northern markets.
Two honest caveats. Response time slows at low temperature — animation will look sluggish at -30°C, which is normal LCD behaviour and not a defect, but design for it rather than discovering it. And background colour shifts slightly with ambient temperature, reversibly. Also worth confirming with us: storage is listed as -30°C to +80°C, identical to the operating range, which is unusual — storage is normally wider at both ends. We flag it rather than repeat it silently; the operating rating stands on its own.
No transmissive LCD is readable in direct sunlight, because reflected glare off the front surface exceeds the light the panel emits. What high brightness buys is everything below that: shade, overcast, bright interiors, vehicle cabins and north-facing outdoor installations — all the places a standard panel gives up. For true direct sun you need a transflective panel, mechanical shading, or a much higher brightness still. Tell us the conditions and we will tell you which.
One related point for outdoor designs: if you fit a cover glass or touch panel, an anti-reflective coating often does more for readability than another 100 cd/m², because it attacks the reflection rather than competing with it. Ask about AR treatment.
