7 Inch TFT LCD Module with Custom Cover Glass and Sensor Openings - VXT700MYIA-03C

The VXT700MYIA-03C is a 7-inch front panel assembly: a display and touch stack under a custom cover glass carrying three functional openings — a camera window, a proximity sensor window and a microphone through-hole. The ink over the openings is specified with a number you can measure: visible light transmittance at 520 nm below 25%, which is what lets the proximity sensor hide behind the glass while still passing IR. Everything runs on one 40-pin flex at 0.30 mm pitch, and that flex carries the LED backlight as well, so there is one connector rather than two. The glass has an anti-fingerprint coating, there is black electromagnetic shielding on both sides, and the section gives a 2.25 mm finished stack with component height capped at 1.8 mm. This is a mechanical drawing, so the page is explicit about what is not in it: no resolution, interface, pin assignment, optical or environmental data.

Product Description

The ink is specified with a number you can measure

The drawing states the requirement for the ink printed over the openings:

Visible light transmittance at 520 nm: less than 25%.

That is a meaningful specification rather than a request for "black ink". What it describes is IR-transmissive, visibly-opaque ink: it blocks most visible light so the opening reads as black and the sensor behind it is invisible, while still passing the infrared the proximity sensor emits and receives. The wavelength is named, the threshold is named, and the direction is unambiguous.

Why that matters in practice:

  • It is checkable. You can measure it at incoming inspection with a spectrophotometer at 520 nm rather than arguing about whether a patch "looks dark enough".
  • It is the difference between a working and a dead proximity sensor. Ordinary black ink blocks IR too, and a proximity sensor behind it simply never triggers. The failure looks like a firmware or sensor problem, and teams have spent weeks there.
  • It is an appearance requirement at the same time. Under 25% at 520 nm means the window disappears into the surrounding border.

The drawing also notes a visible-light transmittance requirement with a minimum for the printed ink, so both a floor and a ceiling are in play — worth confirming the exact pairing with us when you specify the ink.

Anti-Fingerprint Glass, and a Note on Samples

The glass surface is given an anti-fingerprint treatment (防指纹处理). AF coatings are oleophobic: they raise the contact angle so fingerprint oils bead up instead of smearing, which keeps the surface readable and makes it easier to wipe.

What is worth knowing about AF coating:

  • It wears. An oleophobic coating is a thin surface layer and it degrades with wiping. Its performance late in the product's life is not its performance on day one.
  • It is measured by contact angle, not by feel. If it matters to your product, ask for the contact angle and its value after abrasion testing.
  • It does not make the surface harder. Scratch resistance is a property of the glass and any strengthening, not of the AF layer.
